Important Information For Covid Outbreak Update As Of September 10, 2021
Dear members of the Emerson Healthcare Family,
We have updated our visitation policy against COVID-19 and the various variants effective Sept 13th.
Please understand, all it takes is one positive COVID-19 case to cease all visitation. Our number one goal always is to keep all our residents, visitors, and our healthcare workers healthy and safe.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CENTERS FOR Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the visitation guidelines for Nursing Homes in light of the millions of residents and staff who have been fully vaccinated.
In our efforts to keep everyone safe we will have to institute the following procedures for visitation:
Our recommended visitation will be Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm.
We enthusiastically encourage all unvaccinated visitors to be rapid tested upon entry.
You must always wear a face mask while in our facility. Please reframe from having any food/beverages during visit to ensure that your face mask always remains on.
Two visitors per resident per day for 15 minutes to limit the possible exposure of COVID-19 and various variants. “Per CDC Guidelines, a possible exposure occurrence can take 15 minutes and less than 6 feet apart.” Please tell your family members this information, if more visitors are to arrive after the maximum of 2 visitors met for that day, they will be asked to come back another day.
We strongly recommend all children below the age of 12, to visit via Zoom, Facetime or have a window visit.
Visits will take place in resident rooms or in common areas.
****RESIDENTS THAT ARE BEING QUARANTINED WILL STILL NEED TO MAKE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THEIR LOVED ONE. THIS APPOINTMENT CAN ONLY BE SCHEDULED THROUGH DOLORES NIEVES IN OUR ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT. UNFORTUNATELY, AT THIS TIME THESE VISITS WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR A SPECIFIC LENGTH OF TIME.
Thank you so very much for your continued support during this Pandemic. We will continue to update you if we need to make any further changes to this policy.
We look forward to seeing our extended family always!
