Visitation Policy

Based on new updates from the Centers for Disease Control and New Jersey Department of Health, we have taken the next step in moving towards a new normal. After much consideration, our patients’ and their loved ones’ safety is the top priority.

Dear members of the Emerson Healthcare Family,

We have exciting news to share!  Effective June 1st we will be opening our doors again as we are able to update our visitation policy.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CENTERS FOR Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the visitation guidelines for Nursing Homes in light of the millions of residents and staff who have been fully vaccinated.

In order to continue our efforts to keep everyone safe, we will have to institute the following procedures for visitation. They are as follows:

Our recommended visitation will be Monday thru Friday from 1 pm to 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.

We strongly urge all visitors to be rapid tested upon entry or within the past 48 hours.

You must continue to wear your mask at all times while within our facility.

Two visitors per resident at a time.

Visits will take place in resident rooms or in appointed common areas

****RESIDENTS THAT ARE BEING QUARANTINED WILL STILL NEED TO MAKE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THEIR LOVED ONES. THIS APPOINTMENT CAN ONLY BE SCHEDULED THROUGH DOLORES IN OUR ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT. UNFORTUNATELY, AT THIS TIME, THESE VISITS WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR A SPECIFIC LENGTH OF TIME.

We would like to take this time to thank you so very much for your continued support during this Pandemic. We will continue to update you if we have to make any changes to this policy.

Welcome Back! We look forward to seeing our extended family again.

Warmest regards,

The Emerson Health Care Team
