Visitation Policy

Based on new updates from the Centers for Disease Control and New Jersey Department of Health, we have taken the next step in moving towards a new normal. After much consideration, our patients’ and their loved ones’ safety is the top priority.

Dear Residents/Responsible Parties/Staff/Business Associates:

The combined effort of families, residents, and the community we have had significant decrease of the community transmission rate of COVID-19 in Bergen County, in accordance with Local Department of Health and CDC guidelines, Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center is excited to announce that after three years, our facility is now MASK OPTIONAL.

Mask optional meaning visitors entering the facility are no longer required to wear a mask or source control. Please note that if you are having any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (Fever, Chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, congestion, runny nose), or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 10 days you will be asked to wear a mask while inside the facility.

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 Infection you may not enter the facility for 10 days. Screening via our kiosk will continue to be in effect until additional guidelines are in place or if pandemic is concluded.

In the event of facility COVID-19 Outbreak. All will be required to wear mask or source control again. Please note that this is subject to change at any time depending on the community transmission rate of COVID-19 and CDC/Department of Health guidelines.
