Visitation Policy

Based on new updates from the Centers for Disease Control and New Jersey Department of Health, we have taken the next step in moving towards a new normal. After much consideration, our patients’ and their loved ones’ safety is the top priority.

We have exciting news to share with you! Effective November 12, 2021.

Please understand, all it takes is one positive COVID-19 case to change visitation. Our number one goal always is to keep all our residents, visitors, and our healthcare workers healthy and safe.

Dear members of the Emerson Healthcare Family,

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CENTERS FOR Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have updated the visitation guidelines for Nursing Homes in light of the millions of residents and staff who have been fully vaccinated.

In our efforts to keep everyone safe we will have to institute the following procedures for visitation:

Our recommended visitation will be 11 am – 7 pm daily.

All visitors must sign in and out at the Kiosk located in the lobby.

We enthusiastically encourage all unvaccinated visitors to be rapid tested upon entry.

You must always wear a face mask while in our facility. Please refrain from having any food/beverages during the visit to ensure that your face mask always remains on.

Two visitors per resident.

We strongly recommend all children below the age of 5 to not visit, however, we encourage them to visit via Zoom or Facetime.

Visits will take place in resident rooms or in common areas.

Thank you so very much for your continued support during this Pandemic. We will continue to update you if we need to make any further changes to this policy.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support always!

Sincerely,

The Emerson Administration
