November 2024 Events

This November, our senior military veterans were honored on Veterans Day. Emerson also held a Blackjack night with the members of St. Andrew's Parish youth group, as well as a flower-arranging activity day.

Veterans Day Celebration

Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center honored its military veterans on Veteran’s Day in November 2024 with a heartfelt celebration. The event featured a commemorative ceremony recognizing the service and sacrifices of the veterans residing at the facility. Residents, staff, and visitors joined together to express gratitude, sharing stories and patriotic songs. A special lunch was served, with decorations reflecting the theme of honor and service. The day fostered camaraderie and pride, leaving everyone inspired by the bravery and dedication of the facility’s veteran community.

Flower Arrangement Activity

In November 2024, Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center organized a delightful flower-arranging activity for its senior residents. Participants enjoyed selecting and arranging a variety of fresh, vibrant blooms, fostering creativity and relaxation. The event provided an opportunity for social interaction and a therapeutic experience as residents created beautiful floral displays to brighten their living spaces. The cheerful atmosphere left everyone feeling inspired and connected.

Blackjack Event with St. Andrew’s Youth Group

The St. Andrew Parish of Westwood, NJ Youth Group brought joy and excitement to Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center by playing Blackjack with the residents. The friendly games fostered intergenerational bonding, laughter, and a sense of community. Residents appreciated the opportunity to engage in the lively activity while forming connections with the visiting youth, making the event a memorable and heartwarming experience for everyone involved.
