AARP “Thinking of You” Program
AARP visited Emerson Health and included us in their “Thinking of You” Program. The residents and volunteers painted 85 shells for delivery to another skilled nursing facility in Jersey City. Transforming simple seashells into vibrant tokens of warmth and friendship helps bring light and color into the lives of others.
Breast Cancer Awareness
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Emerson’s staff wore pink this month to show their support and raise awareness about breast cancer. This simple but meaningful gesture helped create a sense of unity and compassion throughout the facility, encouraging conversations about the importance of early detection and supporting those impacted by the disease.

Oktoberfest Celebration

The dining area was decorated with Bavarian flags and Oktoberfest-themed decor, setting the stage for a fun and lively atmosphere. Residents enjoyed music, games, and lively conversations; some even donned festive attire. Rosh Hashanah
Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center held a heartfelt Rosh Hashanah celebration for its Jewish residents and their families, marking the Jewish New Year with joy and tradition. The event featured symbolic foods like apples with honey, and family members joined in sharing blessings, prayers, and stories, creating a warm atmosphere of connection and cultural celebration for all who attended.
Trunk-Or-Treat
The town of Emerson, NJ, held a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat community event. The event included the senior residents, patients, and staff at Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Our seniors enjoyed participating in the event and seeing the young visitors in their costumes.
Waffle Bar Event
Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center hosted a delightful Waffle Bar event for residents and patients, bringing a tasty twist to their day. The bar offered freshly made waffles with various delicious toppings, including fruit, whipped cream, syrup, and chocolate chips. Residents enjoyed customizing their waffles and savoring the sweet treat, creating a joyful and interactive dining experience.
